Meeting Aeneas

I was strolling along the shores of Pleasure Beach one day when I stumbled across a handsome young man. I could not help but notice his figure and how muscular he was. I tried my best to stop staring at him, but it became a habit. It was evident that he had not noticed me among the crowd of men. A large crew followed closely in the footsteps of the strange man. I dared not approach them. I was intimated by their presence alone. I was not expecting any visitors, so it must have been an odd mishap.

The stranger decided to come over and introduce himself. His name was Aeneas and he was the Trojan leader. He explained to me that he did not mean any harm and that he only needed a place to rest for a couple days because he had suffered a shipwreck. I offered shelter for Aeneas and his crew members out of hospitality. After all, helping others was my speciality. As the days went by, I built a strong connection with Aeneas. He made me feel comfortable talking to him. Our conversations brought up memories of my late husband and my life prior to Acerbas's death. I kept thinking about how happy I was and how that all changed in a split second. Someone who I cared deeply about had been taken away from me, but there was nothing I could do to bring him back.

I had to focus on the present. Aeneas was in the present. I did not want to lose him as well. Aeneas became my closest friend, but I refused to pursue an intimate relationship with him. A potential relationship with Aeneas would possibly destroy our friendship.
